'LOOK AT ME' PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

To celebrate National Youth Week, YDAS hosted a photographic exhibition of young people with disabilities at Angela Robarts Gallery, Gasworks Arts Park. The exhibition was designed to provide an opportunity for young people with disabilities to have a stronger voice in how they are represented.

YDAS spokesperson Stella Young, who is photographed knitting with a giant ball of wool said "public representations of peoplewith disabilities are usually so predictable and boring. This exhibition is about young people with disabilities putting out images that challenge stereotypes and that show us the way we choose to be seen."
