Human Rights Advocacy Manager
Heather works directly with disabled young people as a human rights advocate and manages the YDAS advocacy program.
Heather brings a wealth of skills and experience from two decades of working with young people across various roles in mental health, youth participation and community development. Having worked extensively with disabled, First Nations & LGBTIQA+ young people, she has an enduring commitment to upholding young people’s rights and voices.
Proudly disabled and neurodivergent herself, Heather enjoys reading, writing and hanging out with their kids & pets.
Natalie (she/her)
Intake & Individual Advocacy Officer
Natalie manages enquiries and referrals to YDAS, supports young people through the intake process, and works directly with disabled young people as a human rights advocate.
Natalie brings lived experience to her role as Intake & Advocacy Officer. She first became involved in the disability community through learning Auslan, and has been active in the community and disability sectors since 2015. She is passionate about accessibility and the rights of disabled people to control their own lives.
